I recently went on a city break to Copenhagen and was so excited to visit all the gluten free bakeries I had found online! I planned my itinerary around where I could eat gluten free pastries and breads, and I was definitely not disappointed.
My first stop was H.U.G Bageri, a completely gluten free bakery that was filled with amazing pastries, breads, and tarts. I bought a selection of items including a warm croissant, a Danish pastry called Tebirkes (a Danish poppy seeded pastry with a marzipan filling), bread rolls, a lemon tart, and a cream cake. The croissant was my favourite of these items, it was warm and flaky and just delicious! The Tebrikes was also a yummy surprise, I had never tried one before but went back for seconds when I next visited the bakery! The rolls where amazing, gluten free bread as most of you know is bland, pathetic and normally needs to be toasted or have something on it for it to taste nice. The gluten free bread in Copenhagen however was insanely good, and I ended up taking eight rolls home with me in my suitcase!

The second bakery we went to was called Landbageriet, while not entirely gluten-free, they had a fantastic variety of gluten-free pastries and breads to choose from. I treated myself to a gluten free cinnamon roll and some gluten free rolls, which were yummy! I love a cinnamon roll and have tried several times to bake my own, but this one tasted much better than mine have ever have! The soft and perfectly shaped bread combined with the delightful and sweet cinnamon filling made it an unforgettable treat.

The last bakery I visited was For Emma, a bakery that exclusively offers gluten-free products. They had a diverse range of gluten-free items such as bread, rolls, frozen treats, cookies, and more. I bought two bags of gluten-free rolls from there - one plain and the other with sesame seeds and raisins. Both were delicious, as expected.

I really enjoyed eating all of the gluten free pastries and breads that I purchased and left the city craving more! I would recommend all the bakeries above to anyone who visits the Copenhagen and know that I will definitely be visiting them again in the future!
